Travelling when pregnant
Minimize

Most methods of travel  are completely safe during your pregnancy, but if you’re planning on flying then there are a few things to consider before you book that relaxing baby moon.

Air Travel

Flying is safe if you are having an uncomplicated pregnancy. Yet you should always seek your doctors advice prior to booking your trip so they may advise you on the best time to travel. Usually the second trimester is the most stable and safe time to travel. Read more on flying when pregnant from the NHS

Rail Travel
There are no restrictions on pregnant women travelling by rail, so you can still use the Eurostar as well as other rail services.

Sea Travel
It is best to find out from the ferry company if they have any rules on pregnant women travelling, as often they hold specific guidelines to this.

Coach/Car Travel
Coach and car travel is safe, but if you are travelling for a long period of time then ensure you stop often and drink plenty of water to prevent DVT.
